If you want to check out an “ebook” from the Southern Adirondack Library System, all you need is a library card.  That was the message of the Library System’s Sara Dallas and Jennifer Ferris at last week’s luncheon.  Patrons need to only choose their book, add it to their cart, and download it to their device.  The procedure is similar to shopping on line, and if necessary, patrons would be asked to wait for the ebook to be become available.  Tablets and smart phones are compatible with online books.  The download will be available on your device for either 7 or 14 days, and it is free of charge.

Sara and Jennifer noted the service is available at a number of libraries in surrounding counties.  More information is available at www.sals.edu or at 584-7300.
