Today’s Speaker – Cheryl Lawyer – Guiding Eyes for the Blind

 Cheryl Lawyer is the Outreach/Community Education Coordinator for the Northeastern Association of the Blind at Albany, Inc., (NABA). Her responsibilities include educating the 15 counties served about vision loss and NABA’s vision rehabilitation services. Ms. Lawyer has over 20 years experience in sales & marketing in the Capital Region and is a NYS Certified Elementary Teacher.

 She also serves as the Northern New York Region Coordinator (volunteer) for Guiding Eyes for the Blind Puppy Raising Program. Based in Yorktown Heights, NY, Guiding Eyes is an internationally accredited, nonprofit guide dog school with a 50-plus year legacy of providing the blind and visually impaired with superior Guiding Eyes dogs, training, and lifetime support services.
