Founded by parents in 1991, Saratoga Independent School is a New York State chartered private elementary school for children in kindergarten through grade 6. They also offer morning and afternoon Pre-K programs, after-school and summer enrichment programs, and aftercare. Their picturesque Adirondack-style Anderson Campus, which opened in 2004, accommodates up to one hundred students. At Saratoga Independent School, their mission is to empower students to become confident learners who are capable of critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork. They strive to equip their students with the knowledge and skills they will need to succeed in an increasingly complex world, while enriching each day of their childhood.
Saratoga Independent School is focused on theme-based learning, which enables students to make connections between content areas so they can apply their knowledge to real-life situations. Saratoga Independent School incorporates this concept to all levels of its curriculum, starting with an annual theme that provides a framework for the major concepts students explore.
