Tom Fueston of Saratoga Springs Horse Show

Last week’s speaker was Tom Fueston of the Saratoga Springs Horse Show.  The Horse Show has been operating at the Saratoga Racecourse for 53-years.  This year’s Horse Show is scheduled May 2-6, and May 9-13.  Fueston offered a detailed presentation of the Show’s 53-year history, and talked about the Show’s reorganization and the establishment of the Capital Fund of Saratoga, which is a not-for-profit agency.  Horse Show proceeds will be used to fund other not-for-profits in Saratoga County.

            Fueston offered a detailed budget of the Horse Show and assessed its economic impact on the community.  Each year anywhere from 400 to 700 horsemen and women participate in the Show.
