From housing assistance programs to Adirondack trails to art workshops, guest speakers at Saratoga Springs Rotary Club’s meetings reveal the many regional organizations working to enrich our communities.
The Saratoga Springs Rotary Club invites its guest presenters to share a 20-minute program about their organization and answer questions. Through the speaker program, club members learn about a wide range of entities serving our area, some of which may become future applicants for Rotary Club funding. When organizations have previously received Club donations, their presenter updates the Club on the use of its funds and highlights other key programs.

Typical presentations review an organization’s mission and programs, its recent accomplishments, and often share human-interest stories that help Rotarians gain insight into the organization and the people it serves.
Some of the Club’s guest speakers have included:
- Abbie Aldrich, Franklin Community Center
- Lawrence O’Toole, Saratoga Civic Pulse
- Adrienne Parker, Shelters of Saratoga
- Jolene Munger, Mary’s Haven (Catholic Charities)
- Julie Lewis, C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios
- Lindsay Stanislowsky, Northeast Chapter, Alzheimer’s Association
- Samantha Bosshart, Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation
- Derek Tefft, Saratoga Center for the Family
- Lois Celeste, Saratoga Senior Center
- Tom Burdick and Rich Suker, Gift of Life
- Tara Westervelt, YMCA Healthy Living Program
- Cortney Worrall, Adirondack Mountain Club
- Karen Flewelling, Drilling for Hope
Leaders from organizations who are interested in speaking at an upcoming meeting should submit this Speaker Program Inquiry form and include a brief description of their presentation in the Comments. Presentations occur at club lunch meetings on select Wednesdays at the Holiday Inn in Saratoga Springs.
